Rochelle, I'm so glad he was rescued and is ok. You mentioned young people. Our college-age kids are so vulnerable because they are just experiencing the realities that bad things can happen, and mom and dad won't be there to guide them through. There may be slightly different things to emphasize if you live alone or have moved to an area with new risks but a self-assessment is a good first step and reminder.

Thank you! One of our grandsons was just rescued from an apartment fire. My husband and I were again discussing the importance of being prepared and having an emergency plan, especially for those who live alone, those who have recently moved, and young people living away from home for the first time.
