Your comment that we can get knowledge from others, but not wisdom immediately called the parable of The Ten Virgins to mind. The wise could not share their oil of wisdom because it came from their real experiences of not only learning, but obeying. To gain real wisdom, we must follow our Savior and do the things we see him do in the scriptures.
