Joseph Smith changed Matthew and John to Testimonies, indicating the keys they held as Apostles as special witnesses of his name (authority, mission, etc) but did not make that special title change for Mark or Luke. Unfortunately our LDS Bible is in error regarding the JST on that point.

Thank You for this insightful article / lesson. The thoughts on study using the gospels in harmony will be a helpful tool added to occassional cross referencing. The seven 'I Am' statements are intriguing as wel. The concep that the Holg Ghost acts as living water as His office is to verify truth to all who will receive. Again, your words are appreciated.

I am confused. You say that Christ never said he was the living water. What about the Samaritan woman at the well? Of course He is the living water which if we drink we will never thirst. He is the one that performed the Atonement and not the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the conduit through which we receive this water though. Is this what you meant?
