Excellent article. In addition to protecting the center in the ways Bro. Gibbons has outlined, I feel that this also applies to protecting ourselves against dissenting voices within the Church who pick away at the leadership, at the doctrines, at the scriptures, at principles, in the name of being fair to everyone else's ideologies or being "objective" rather than relying on the testimony and guidance of the Holy Ghost.

A great article by a great teacher who served in the same mission at the same time I did. I have enjoyed his classes at BYU Education Week. I am a CES missionary currently, and will be teaching the war chapters in Alma in a couple of weeks. This article came along at just the right time!
