Thank you, Brother Peterson, for this wonderful article. Truly the closeness we feel to God here on earth is based on the reality of His ability to feel close to us. We feel His love and experience it personally in so many precious and sacred ways. We truly have a FATHER in Heaven, and we are truly bound in love to His Son.

Spot on! And yet so many non-Latter Day Saint Christians insist on “solar scriptura”, claiming that the only truth we can abide by is in the written word presented to us in the Bible as it now stands. If they cannot accept God has feelings, how accurate can their philosophy be?

Great article, Dan. Thank you. What a difference to our human hearts it makes to see God as a caring father! The choice of turning to an emotionless entity versus looking to a loving Father seems pretty clear.
