Wonderful essay! Especially liked your missionary journal entry and the quotes from prophets. Your hymns are great choices; you might add "Jesus Lover of My Soul" with its "hide me oh, my Savior, hide till the storms of life have past. Cover my defenseless head with the shadow of They wing.
