Wonderful thoughts. I believe it is Covey who says the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. That applies to the Gospel as well. I would add a sub-question to "Is Joseph Smith a prophet?", and that is, "Is the Book of Mormon true?" There's a reason why it is the Keystone of our religion. If it is a true history of real people, then everything else is true. And if doubt starts to enter in, just to back to that truth and build from there. When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on. The Book of Mormon is the knot in the end of the rope.
