Why do we need the Savior Jesus Christ? Because try as we will we can never be good enough....as soon as we think we are perfect or better than everyone else...well that is PRIDE...and pride is a sin! We need the help of family, friends, teachers, church leaders...but most of all we need to follow that GOOD Shepard....because he is the one who will lead us home!

Thank you for this heartwarming message. And thank you for developing and sharing your gift of music with us. I was privileged to develop and present our ward's Christmas Sacrament Meeting program yesterday based on your song "O How Great the Goodness of Our God." As the concluding song, it bore a powerful testimony to an overflowing congregation of the purpose for the birth of or Savior. Thank you!

Sister Lynne, You are so right, "Jesus Christ is everything we need Him to be" (last paragraph of Memory 3). And you are so right that Jesus "would be a shepherd too," and "be a wiseman too." And your concluding lyric that He came "to be the Savior too" is the capstone of His entire mission. No question you were inspired with these lyrics! I wish I could say that the music was as inspired. It sounded a little kitschy to me.

I loved the stories Lynne told in this article. And I have always loved this song she wrote. There is something magical about it. Thank you, Lynne!
