You indeed have a wise daughter--thank you for sharing her words of wisdom. I hope we can remember them when both the challenges and triumphs of life come upon us. I know you are meeting this new challenge with grace and dignity, as well as faith and humor. We want you as a member of the "Breast Cancer Club" for a long time to come.

What a beautiful article. Your daughter has such great insights, and I am evidently, much like you in the usefulness box! Bless you as you go through breast cancer treatment. First me, then my mom and now my daughter have been through it in different versions and treatments, and it does have its moments of sorrow fear and pain. BUT, humor is getting us all through it, so you are in good shape there!

I love reading your articles, Sister Hilton. Your insights have been helping me for years. In fact, the first time you made me laugh was when I was a teenager reading your “As the Ward Turns” series! (I just read them again, because I was recently called to serve as the RS President in my ward!) I laughed and learned from your “Dating: No Guts, No Glory” book right around that same time, too, and I have continued from that time to seek out your books and articles where I can. I want to be like you when I grow up! (I’m 40 now, so growing up could happen at any time!) Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with all of us. You are in my prayers! <3

A transformational message we all need to read. May you be comforted in your fight against cancer. Thanks so much for this article.

Joni, your daughter's comment, "Become more Godlike" hit me on the head! Thank you for this article and prayers and love for your healing. Cancer moves everything into slow motion. Our infusion center has a camaraderie. Your article has helped me see good things where I have not been seeing them. Thank you!

Joni offers some of the most important perspectives of true discipleship in this article. It is so easy to get caught up in "doing" and to forget the ultimate importance of "being." I think there is real danger in believing that "doing more" is always the answer to every gospel dilemma. I appreciate the way this article so beautifully puts into words the eternal significance of what we are becoming.
