As a recovering addict in my 60's, I've learned and experienced the Savior's unconditional love as never before. We cannot earn our way into His kingdom...we rely only upon His grace and mercy. We obey commandments because we love Him, and have surrendered our life, and will, to Him. And because they work. When the scriptures say "God is love", that's real.

I wish I could memorize this entire article! "Believing Christ" also got my attention and changed my view of grace. However, it frustrates me to no end when I try to convince others that he really and truly [as Elder Holland said] cheering for us. Can't be earned - nope! We serve, not in order to earn 'heaven points' but to demonstrate our gratitude for this amazing gift!. Thank you so much for wording the concept so clearly!

In years past I felt that I could not trust the Savior to save me, a very fallen and weak child. It wasn't that he couldn't save me but rather why would he save me, someone so unworthy. Reading Robinson's books and just recently Given's books has opened the door of hope for me. Now I feel that I can really trust Christ to do what he has promised to do.
