I have learned, through many years of experience, to "wait on the Spirit". Heavenly Father rarely gives us straight answers at the time we want them, but when I allow the Spirit to guide and direct my thoughts as I work through a problem I am able to reach a decision that will be in harmony with gospel principles. It can take time and often requires a great deal of patience, but in this way I have learned to listen for and hear the gentle promptings of the Holy Ghost.
