"There is a law irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world upon which all blessings are predicted, and when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated." If we are not living the law,God cannot give us the blessing even if He wants to.. I would guess with most of us,there are laws that we don't even understand yet,and therefore, don't know the blessings attached to those laws.if we are living the law, the blessings are sure.

I can totally relate to the point you raised about peace. A couple of years ago I got a cancer diagnosis and in the few days between that first bombshell and my appointment with the oncologist, I became overwhelmed with fear. The type of cancer I had was very low on the mortality scale - it was slow growing and easy to fix with surgery, yet there existed a possibility that it might have already spread and I might require chemotherapy after surgery. The fear of pain and suffering was tearing me apart and I wept and mourned. In a moment I was completely filled with warmth and peace, and all the fear vanished. The voice of the spirit said to me, "You're going to be all right. Even if this cancer has spread and it takes your life, you will be fine. Who do you think will be there with you when you pass over?" Both my parents were deceased at this time, and the thought of seeing them again filled me with joy. And I was greatly comforted and strengthened by that, knowing that no matter what happened with this, cured or not, the Lord would be with me, he would give me the strength to endure, and all would be well. Happily, the surgery was completely effective and my life was back to normal in a matter of weeks, but I will never forget those moments when I was drowning in fear and in an instant I was completely peaceful and joyful.

Yes, what you say is certainly true, but when I think about getting blessed, I also remember the many times he has blessed me in a positive way when I have asked little tiny things of him that are only important to me: Please get me and my car home safely... and more
