Thank you for expressing so beautifully how you found the common ground that connects every human, and for reminding us that we don't have to be perfect (or even close) to be instruments in God's hands--we just have to be willing. We can all make a difference for the good, just as you have with me in your recounting of such timeless truths.

Great story Steve. This writing talent seems to run in the family. The creativity gene got stuck in your family and we are all benefactors of your talents. Thanks for sharing this story. It made me stop and think who I could maybe help or bring some Christmas joy to. Just a simple act can make such a difference. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Steve, thanks for sharing this interesting story. I remember caroling to the unfortunate folks who spent Christmas Eve in the hospital in Provo in 1987. It was a good experience, but not nearly as exciting as yours. : ) Your skillful way with words made it even more enjoyable to read.

What? End of story? I can't stand it; I want to know, "Did you ever go back to visit Stella?" Great article. I could read your type of writing all day. Written with such humor, honesty, and spiritually moving all at the same time. Thank you.

What a beautiful story. I could picture it happening as I read your words. I was especially moved when you asked her to tell you a story of her favorite Christmas. What a wonderful way to bless the life of someone in her situation. Thank you for sharing this. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
