Great article. I would also like to add the idea from the Book of Mormon which tells us that the people after the visit of Christ to the Americas were happy because the "love of God did dwell in our hearts." I think that this is referring to the gratitude and love of God that we feel for our lives and for our families. The first and great commandment is to love God and we do so by loving ourselves, our lives here upon the earth, our families and being eternally grateful for all of His blessings in our lives. Gratitude is essential to our happiness.

What a powerful article, a great reminder of the blessings derived from living the gospel. I suffer from depression; however, I still live after a manner of happiness. Thank you for the succinct examples of how the gospel blesses our lives.
