How comforting it is to know that even when our timing isn’t “perfect,” the Savior’s always is. I believe that in reaching out to her neighbors and striving to help them feel the Savior’s spirit, this young mother may have opened the way for her neighbor to come and speak with her. As President Nelson reminds us, “The Lord loves effort.” Her time spent preparing and hosting the Christmas party was not wasted, even if the outcome didn’t match her expectations.
