I absolutely agree with this article. We don't HAVE to share. We GET to share! Everything we have is a gift from the Lord. Everything we have is consecrated to Him and His purposes. When we prepare for emergencies, we can consider our resources as The Lord's emergency supplies. Having said this, I can't help but think of the tale of The Little Red Hen. We ALL need to take responsibility for gathering essentials we will need when emergencies arise. We should never be negligent because we think someone else will take care of us. This requires sacrifice, obedience, and faith.

This is an excellent article. Thank you. There are some things we CANNOT share, like oil for our lamps, but most certainly things we CAN, like those mentioned here. What would Jesus do?

Thank you for this article! I agree 100% with you but there are some members of my ward who think I am crazy and say they would never share their supplies. I will be an Ebenezer!
