When our ward was divided into 7 branches to better serve the cities population, we had no organist at all. One 11 year old who i believe had a year on the piano became the pianist for Sacrament meeting. The branch president began learning and was playing hyms for Priesthood meetings within a month

When I was in the Aaronic Priesthood, we went about two years with a man as the pianist who could only play two songs. Every week, we alternated between "How Firm a Foundation" and "Put Your Shoulder To The Wheel." Forty years later, I still know these by heart!
