I got to thinking about your article and how, if I am following your logic correctly, then perhaps each of us as an individual become the "bride of Christ", the one for whom He has sacrificed, the one to whom He calls. It is my own heart I bring, trusting in His power to save. I must accept Him, the atonement. I must "receive" the Holy Ghost. Thank you for your thoughtful article.
