100% true. I have been madly in love with my wife for 35 years. My children all agree that the best thing we gave them is our love for each other, knowing full well that the kids were loved but came second to Mom and Dad's relationship. When I would say: "What did you say to my WIFE?" my child knew they were in BIG TROUBLE! Now in their 30s they have told me that they knew they were in trouble and also that it forced them to realize they had to respect their mother because she wasn't just their mother. She was, First and Foremost, the wife of that great big man that was their father.
