Two months ago I gave birth to my sweet baby girl Élodie. Four days later I held her to my chest and cried as she slipped off to the Spirit World. It is truly the worst thing we have ever experienced as a family. I long for the temple to be open again so I can go there. The only way we are all surviving is through the grave of our Savior Jesus Christ. He is truly the way.

I too was touched by your story. We lost our 24 year old daughter to epilepsy. We were heartbroken beyond belief. But we know that she still lives and that we are sealed together by our temple covenants. We still miss her every day even though she has been dead seven years. So I say to you, we know that little children when they die are saved in God's celestial kingdom. Now it is up to you to live so that you can be with them once again. Please live your life lovingly and beautiful. You will be together as one eternal family in the life to come.

Thank you for sharing. I hope time has comforted your grief. I have been through hardships but I never felt they would rock my testimony or I would blame God. When I listened to President Nelson at Conference relate the experience of his granddaughter-in-law who was conflicted over the terminal illness of her father and her testimony, it was difficult for me to ponder that this would be an either-or situation. It taught me that even good and faithful people may experience challenges that can shake us to our core and leave us with so many questions. I know, in time, these questions and all our grief will be swallowed up in the wonderful Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Ten years ago today I lost my 28-year-old son. No matter the age the heart is broken. I treasure the time with him....he's with me every day....October conference weekend I look forward to hope that is promised and blessings to be given. There are days with tears but there are also days with happy laughter of memories. God is good.
