Dear Becky, Your account of Christmas Day 2004 was gripping and moved me to tears. Though alarming that so many lives were lost that day and through the following weeks, my heart soared to hear that your group of little ones were saved from the devastating Tsunami that occurred. Another reminder that our Heavenly Father is certainly in the details and ever mindful of His children. It is He who knows when a sparrow falls. In Him we find safety. In Him we find peace.

Beautiful writing from your heart Becky about your experiences with the children of Rising Star and the miracle of their lives being spared. Then your wonderful, strengthening words about facing this new year with steadfastness and faith. We always look forward to your articles. Thank you so much. Roberta and Don

Thank you for this article that reminds us of the devastation around the world and the sanctuary of our Lord and Savior. How could I have forgotten about this tsunami that killed 230,000 people? We are so fortunate here in the states where we are unaffected by these enormous, life changing trials that others suffer through. Bless you for all that you and your family do. Looking forward to reading more.

My youngest son, George, died of a glioblastoma at age 24 despite many prayers and blessings. The first one was administered under the hands of every Priesthood holder on our tiny Branch in Sisters, Oregon. In it he was told he would be healed according to his faith and Heavenly Father's will. He died peacefully 5 years later, still hoping to be able to serve a mission. There was nothing wrong with his faith. He has been serving that mission ever since.

Thank you so much, Becky. I'll never forget ALL the accounts of what happened, as I was in touch wiith dear ones in Indonesia -- particularly Elder Subandriyo, an Area Authority and DEAR friend, who gave significant leadership to all the help given in the area of Sumatra so devastated by the earthquake and tsunami. I thank you for the incredible help you have given and continue to give. Both Leanne (Anderson, now Kirk) and I love and admire you so much! Love, MEE
