Many of you may not be aware that last Sunday, less than 48 hours after his daughter's passing, President and Sister Nelson were at the Chico California Stake Conference offering words of comfort and encouragement to those faithful Saints, many of whom had lost everything they owned in the recent Camp Fire. God bless President Russell M Nelson!

I have just finished reading, Saints and am filled with awe and reverence for the early saints and our prophets for their spiritual and physical strength.

One of the things that has always touched my heart about Joseph Smith (and, indeed, all our leaders) is that, with all they had to do to lead and grow the Lords' church, in spite of all the barriers to do so, all of them worked hard to take care of their families---no matter what. How precious it is to read what Joseph and the others did for their families.

Beautiful thoughts and so very true. President Nelson is a shining example for all of us, and I am sure heaven is filled with our prayers ascending in behalf of him and also his loved ones. We can uphold him by our prayers of faith.

Thank you Maurine. A sweet reminder of the incredible strength and faith demonstrated by our dear Prophets, past and present. Good counsel for all of us as we face life's most difficult challenges. You are a great example of that same strength and faith as you pressed on with the Church History Tour several years ago after the death of your sweet daughter. Kit and I were amazed by your incredible ability to "carry on" in teaching all of us on that wonderful trip, only weeks after your loss. Thank you again for being a woman of valor and faith.

Thank you for this article. I am filled with gratitude for the blessing of living prophets, who carry on in the Lord's service in the midst of loss and adversity. God bless our Prophet.

Yes! God Bless our Prophet AND his dear family. Sometimes we forget what the family of a prophet sacrifices in order to share their father/grandfather/husband/brother/uncle with the rest of the world. THANK YOU.

Thank you Maurine. I felt very uplifted after reading this. Our sweet Relief Society President's husband died on Saturday also. She was ministering to us all during his illness. This is truly sacrifice.May we all be influenced by these Zion quality lives and be encourage to do much more in our own ministries.
