Brought to you live from Studio B at BYUTV on March 30 and 31, the 10th annual TEDxBYU will be unlike any other virtual event. Enjoy interactive contests and prizes with a live host, expand your mind with ideas worth spreading, and meet the TEDxBYU speakers during live Q&A sessions. This event will keep you engaged and captivated for much longer than just two nights.

“We’re so excited to finally be able to host TEDxBYU this year,” says Rose Palmer, a board member for the TEDxBYU. “The speakers have been waiting to give their talks since last year and they won’t disappoint.”

Seven highly accredited and engaging speakers will address the public at the event. Caitlin Connolly, a famous American artist, will discuss the concepts and ideas of “Looking for Light” that drive her deeply reflective and compelling artwork.

Matt Townsend, known as one of America’s top presenters in the field of human relations and development, will blend humor and storytelling with his real-life solutions to inspire and motivate healthier living. Shannon Bahrke Happe, seven World Cup wins and two Olympic medal champion for the US Ski Team, will share her motivation behind her bright pink hair and her powerful message about “being average” and making an impact.

Four other speakers including Ben Schilaty, author of A Walk In My Shoes; Coco Berthmann, a fifteen-year child sex trafficking survivor; Julianne Holt-Lunstad, a highly accredited loneliness researcher; and Stuart Edgington (aka Stuart Edge), with over 500 million views for his viral Youtube trick and prank videos, will also be featured.

Music is always a must at TEDxBYU, this year featuring the bluegrass traditional sound from Lincoln Highway and the modern, fun sound of Vandergoose. The show consists of different types of music all related to bluegrass, celtic, country, swing and old-time americana. The group has been playing together in some form or another for thirty years throughout the intermountain region as well as special engagements across the U.S.

Those who attend the event will also be eligible for raffle items and giveaways from sponsors like Hale Center Theater Tickets, Pearhead and Ubbi baby products, Pura, Little Giant Ladders, Trove Brand products and more.
