In the 2011 Sunday School classes, youth 14-18 and adults will study the New Testament. Below are some of the great resources provided by the Church to help in your study of the New Testament.
Online Scriptures. If you haven’t experienced the upgraded scriptures.lds.org, you need to see it. Learn about the new features, such as personalized study tools that let you take notes, highlight/underline verses, tag verses, and save them to a folder. You can also share your favorite verses with friends. More enhancements to the study tools will be released soon. Mobile scriptures applications provide access to the scriptures on various mobile devices. This upgraded site is available in English, Spanish, and German. The previous scriptures site is in an additional 17 languages
Illustrated scriptures stories. These popular books with colorfully illustrated scripture stories are available online at scripturestories.lds.org. Each of the four books has downloadable text, audio, and video. You may want to consider getting the printed books or the DVD set as Christmas gifts for children. Media-enriched video versions of each book are being prepared. See the first ones now online for the New Testament Stories.
Scripture Stories radio series. This weekly radio series is designed to inspire children to come to know and love stories from the scriptures. Each episode features children sharing their insights and favorite experiences from the scriptures, along with music and readings of the best stories from the scriptures. All 33 episodes are completed for the Book of Mormon. The first 4 of 41 episodes of the New Testament are completed. So check back often to see new episodes.
Printed scriptures are available for purchase online in a variety of covers, colors, and sizes. Recently, a smaller paperback edition of the New Testament was published. This smaller book is only 1/4″ thick and is handy to carry around. At only $2.00, it makes a great stocking stuffer.
