News Item: The cemetery owned by the city of Sterling, Colorado, refused to allow the word “Jesus” on the tombstone of a pastor’s wife because city officials thought some would find it offensive.
Heavens to Murgatroyd!! Somebody might be offended? Is there a double standard here?
Offended by the name
Of the Savior,
But not by profane
And coarse behavior.
What explanation can there be, other
Than the jealous little brother
In the mother
Of all sibling rivalries?

According to the Denver Post, October 17, 2013, city leaders in Sterling have now OKed it, and city manager Joe Kiolbasa recently told KUSA-TV that the "city will not censor any future religious references on headstones and cemetery markers." So I wouldn't blow the actions of one overly sensitive individual out of proportion, especially when city managers did not end up backing his position.
