“Much of the major growth that is coming to the Church in the last days will come because many of the good women of the world…will be drawn to the Church in large numbers. This will happen to the degree that the women of the Church reflect righteousness and articulateness in their lives…” President Spencer W. Kimball shared in a message, as read by his wife Camilla in a general women’s meeting in 1979.
“The day that President Kimball foresaw is today,” said President Russell M. Nelson of that message.
In a recent video on the Church’s YouTube channel, President Nelson goes on to share more of his vision of the value and contribution of women in the Church today. He talks of the distinctive capabilities of women and the unique influence they can exercise and how they should be equal contributors with men as we build the Kingdom of God on the earth.
