Latter-day Saint Charities is continuing to provide the help that is urgently needed to thousands of refugees from Afghanistan that are currently in temporary living situations in Germany, the U.S., and Qatar.
Between 5,000 and 7,000 Afghans are being sheltered at Ramstein Air Base in Germany for up to two weeks before they will be sent to communities and countries that are willing to support them. Latter-day Saint Charities has been distributing baby items (diapers, formula, and toys) as well as personal hygiene materials like underwear, shoes, and jackets to these people in need.

Thousands of these refugees will be send to Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. From there, they will find new homes in communities throughout the United States. Latter-day Saint Charities has partnered with the United States military to provide necessities to the 10,000 refugees expected to arrive in Wisconsin.
As was reported earlier last month, Latter-day Saint Charities is likewise providing personal hygiene items and other necessities to refugees at an air base in Qatar. Local Latter-day Saints are assisting in the distribution of these items to families.
