Last year at this time, when we were well into the peach season, I made a list of ways to get the most from the season’s crop. Here is this year’s list of favorite things to make with your peaches.
1. Peach Shortcake (shown above)
Load peaches on a slice of cake or a sweetened biscuit. Drizzle it in a sauce or syrup. (We used buttermilk syrup. Add a dollop of whipped cream. We love caramel whipped cream which is simple whipped cream made with brown sugar instead of white and caramel flavor instead of vanilla.
2. Peaches on a Cheesecake
Last week, we loaded peach slices on really good cheesecake. Then we drizzled each slice with caramel sauce. It was very attractive and very good.

3. Peach Pannekoeken
Pannekoeken is scrumptious with only syrup on it. Add peaches to make it really super.
Make it just like regular pannekoeken and add fresh peaches after it comes from the oven. Drizzle it with syrup to slightly sweeten the peaches.

4. Peaches in a Mini Pannekoeken
These are absolutely scrumptious and quick and easy to make. Pannekoeken made in a jumbo muffin pan makes great dessert cups. Drop sliced peaches in the little cups while they are still warm, drizzle them with syrup, and top them with caramel whipped cream or ice cream.
Here’s how to make mini pannekoeken.
5. Peach Pie
I love a good peach pie. This is one of my favorite peach pie recipes.
6. Peach Sticky Toffee Pudding
Sticky toffee pudding is a British dessert, reported the most famous dessert in the world. This one is made with fresh peaches and caramel whipped cream.
7. Peach Crunch Cake
We made peach crunch cake last week to serve in the store and loaded them with fruit, mostly ripe peaches with a handful raspberries thrown in for color. (We used 3 ½ cups of fresh fruit for a 9×13-inch pan.) we drizzled the cake with syrup and added caramel whipped cream.
8. Peach Cobbler
This is a peach-blackberry peach cobbler ready to go in the oven. The red, that’s red currant jelly added for flavor and tartness and to give the peaches color. The fruit sinks to the bottom in baking.
These are great cobblers and can be made with almost nay fruit including apples and pears. At the end of the article, you’ll find a recipe for a peach cobbler.
If you would like more recipes, we’ll send you a set of eight cobbler recipes along with a free Skillet Cobbler Mix.
