Thank you for your suggestions! Here's a suggestion that works for our family. We have a bunch of kids so on Sunday we make a list of each item on the menu and a few other jobs like setting the table, etc. After church everyone picks a job or 2 (depending on the need). That really helps get a big fun meal on the table without a lot of work from one person, the kids get to learn how to cook different things, and we are all working together. We don't have a large kitchen so I write times to start the kitchen jobs so that we don't end up with too many people in the kitchen. I am in the kitchen a lot but it is time spent with my kids often 1 on 1.
