The dots are with paint. Take the end of a brush or pencil and dip it in the paint. When dry, take a smaller circle and dip in another color of paint. For the stripes on the eggs we taped them with blue paint tape (it goes on and off of the egg easily) and dyed them, when dry, remove the tape and tape over the colored area and dye again. Wait until they are dry and remove the tape again. You can make all kinds of designs this way.

I am wondering, as well, how you dyed the spots and lines over the colored eggs. Please send me any hints and tricks you have. I would love to make my colored eggs look like your photos! Absolutely loved the article!

I am wondering how you dyed the spots and lines in a different color over the colored egg? Do you have to have a template or other way to make it look so perfectly even? Thank you for your article. It will be fun to experiment with my grandchildren.
