Great points. I might add the importance of understanding the fall. Those who don't, see no need for a Savior and redemption.

It is a bit of a stretch to say that we came to earth on God's "invitation". I was recently invited to a party, but chose not to go. There was no penalty for not going other than I missed a good time. I was not cast into outer darkness, nor was my progression stopped. If you chose not to come to earth, you by default, aligned yourself with Satan's plan. We all clearly had a decision to make, with the option to stay put was off the table. I'd call it more of a relocation than an invite.

Eve had to make a choice from two commandments God gave. If she obeyed one she couldn't obey the other. If she didn't eat the fruit she wouldn't have had seed. She realized that in order to fill one commandment-to multiply and replenish, she had to eat the fruit, thus transgressing the other commandment not to eat the fruit of the tree. She made a wise choice and Adam saw that it was right.

Thank you. I love that we learn about Adam and Eve in so many places. I sometimes get bogged down by the order of creation, but the placement of man and woman are the most important. Sometimes, we hear comments on TV or friends of other faiths malign our first parents; blaming them that we aren't all still in the Garden of Eden. They don't understand that we wouldn't be here at all. We are so blessed to have agency, to have the opportunity to overcome sin, and to have a Savior who loves us. Our first parents paved the way for all of God's children.
