This resurgence of the feminist movement truly saddens me. I am college educated, well-traveled, and religious. I enjoy homemaking, and I had the privilege of being with my kids, going on field trips, volunteering at their schools, and being home when they got home for the major portion of their lives. I am also a business owner, meeting personally with clients on a regular basis. In none of this did I feel the need to demean the contributions of my husband or feel that he was putting me in a lesser category. Most of my friends have worked outside the home while raising their children or developed home-based businesses that are very successful. This "cause" has been ongoing since I was in college (several decades ago), possibly earlier. Women have many rights legally afforded to them, whether single or married. We have come a long way from our sisters in earlier centuries or those still struggle in other nations. If these "feminists" believe that wearing pants or no make-up, swearing and protesting, or belittling others will help reach their intended goals, I offer, "Then what?" There seems to be a cause of the week, so what is the long-term agenda that will make these women happy? I would offer that they consider the rights, privileges, and even blessings that they do have, instead of searching to invent the wheel, especially at the detriment of their own families, co-workers, etc.

Thank you for this article. The world is getting so scary! I'll be glad when the Savior comes again.
