I think we are going to be surprised when we reach our heavenly home and are shown all of the times the Lord interceded in our behalf. He knows when to call us home, and also when we need to remain. Miracles happen every day, and we can trust the Lord to comfort and strengthen us when a miracle we pray for does not occur.

It appeared that my mother was in the early stages of dementia when she was killed in a car crash. Events leading up to the crash, the way it happened, and events that happened afterwards, proved that it was not an accident. The day before, my parents had attended the temple. As they left, my mother remarked, “I have all my women’s work done; now it’s up to the men.” Her mission in life was complete, and she was called home.
