I think this woman has answered her own question regarding whether she can have a happy, rewarding life in her loveless marriage. She obviously does NOT have a happy life, or she wouldn't be asking the question. There is a huge difference between having a happy life as a single, widowed, or divorced person and having a happy life in a marriage where she states there is no emotional intimacy, NOR any effort on her husband's part to have a close, loving marriage. The children are grown, so the fact that he is a "good father" doesn't seem applicable to keeping the marriage going. I feel sad that this woman doesn't end this marriage and seek for companionship with someone who cherishes her. Living in these conditions would be hell on earth for many.
