Thanks so much for your article. As a new author I find that searching for suitable publishers is a major part of my daily life. It seems that the need for actual proper stories are a thing of the past. Ones without the constant "he thinks vs she thinks" and telling the reader everything without allowing for intelligence or imagination is what now sells. I have become quite disillusioned. UK readers are some of the worst, so I have taken to searching through American and Canadian listings. I do believe there is a true market for the Jane Austen style books that are fun and informative are very thin on the ground, so wish me luck.

What a great list of authors. Thank you. I believe there is a huge market for clean romances -- readers just need to know where to find them. I have written some under my maiden name, Beverly Farr.

I read loveinspired from harlequin because it is clean stuff. When I venture beyond I've been shocked. I want more. Thanks for the author s names and publishers names.

My wife has been writing books in the suspence romance genre since 2005 with out falling into the "steamy" level that many publishers want. She writes under the author name of Carrie Chesney, and books can be found on-line in print and electronic versions. Her series is set in Lander, Wyoming.

Thank you for such an informative article! I love contemporary, humorous, simple love stories. It makes me happy to find all that in a book, but it doesn't happen very often so I gave up trying to find it. You have given me some great ideas to find what I'm looking for. Thank you!!!
