Coincidence doesnot exist ! Chances are, Joseph SMITH was assassinated, because he was a serious candidate of the Reform Party, for the presidency of the United States ! On 29 January 1844, Joseph SMITH held a meeting in the mayor's office at Nauvoo with the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and others. It was unanimously decided that Joseph would run for president ! On 11 March 1844, Joseph SMITH organized the Council of Fifty, a deliberative political body to promote his candidacy. Sidney Rigdon, a Pennsylvanian, became his running mate. Brother Joseph favored a constitutional amendment providing for capital punishment of public officials, who refused to assist those denied their constitutional rights. He wrote, "The state rights doctrines are what feed mobs." Obviously, Robert KENNEDY was assassinated in the similitude of Joseph SMITH !!!

Joseph Smith was a young, unlearned, farm boy who weilded a mighty plow both through farmland and earthlife, with prophetic help from Our Father in Heaven. In the days of Joseph's visit to President Van Buren(1839) staes rights were not wrongs. The 13th,14th AND 15TH AMENDMENTS CHALLENGE those perceptions. The Federal Govt should have acted to Missouri massacres but unfortunately the country was in its formative Constitutional years. God bless the memory of Joseph who only God could forsee.

I have been assigned to go into 18 other nations, doing public relations work on behalf of the United States. While I am not expert on any of them, I have seen how people live and how their countries operate. This article points out that things are still the same, here and overseas, as they were in Josephs' time. Lust for political power drives so many people, not principles of righteousness. Good people of all stripes must be aware of what is going on, and work to preserve freedom for all---I emphasize, for all.

The 14th Amendment to the US Constitution was ratified in 1868. Maybe the deliberations Joseph precipitated in 1840 helped bring it to pass. It could have given the Federal Government some jurisdiction. Here is Section I: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

This is a good lead-in to The Lincoln Hypothesis by Timothy Ballard. A good read and compelling evidence that the Civil War was needed not only to provide emancipation for the slaves but to consider that religious liberty must be federally mandated to each state.
