Your story reminds me of mine, as I grew up a Presbyterian, but certain events in my life occurred that set me off on a quest to find the "True Church" at age 20, and then the elders found me. It is now 41 years, 38 years of marriage, 6 sons and almost 19 grandchildren later. I look forward to reading your book.

I was glad to read that Sister Marriott attended Southern Methodist University. When the title said "From Southern Methodist to ..." I thought you had the Methodist Church confused with the Southern Baptist Convention. Whew! Now it makes sense. We love to hear her speak because she sounds like US! Texans and Southerners. We also love to hear Pres. Uctdorf's accent since we have so many wonderful German people in Texas. In fact, I married one who was a Catholic and I was a Southern Baptist. We saw the light after 5 years of marriage and became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That 49 1/2 years ago.

From reading this portion of your story, Sister Marriott, is like my own life - Only it took longer for me to find the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints than it did you and my path was not an easy or smooth one. Nevertheless, it was a great reward for me and my family. Thank you for sharing your story!
