Thank you for this article. I have had severe depression accompanied by frequent suicidal ideation for decades - even as recently as just a few days ago (when I called the national suicide hotline). It is a topic that people are not comfortable talking about - and they don't know how to react or interact with you when they find out. It is wonderful that the church has been reaching out to people who suffer from this - and their families. The Mental Health and Preventing Suicide web pages have been very helpful to me - and I'm certain they will also to many people as well.
