I agree with this article 100% and am grateful for the thoughtful, powerful, passionate work about mothering from Jenet Erickson. I didn't marry until I was almost 37 and didn't become a mother until age 39. I had done a lot of other things before marrying, had 10 years of higher education, had worked fulltime, had served a mission and travelled, but none of that even comes close to the joy, satisfaction and influence I experience as a mother. Satan's attacks on motherhood, and those that feminism echoes, are bald face lies, and I am deeply saddened that so many women have bought into the idea that marriage and children are not only unnecessary for happiness, but also obstacles to happiness. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you want to be influential, powerful and make a difference in this world...be a mother
