Those of us who have been doing family history since before the advent of computers remember the stories in the family history magazines. Stories written by LDS and non-LDS people about the miracles they had witnessed as they did their family history work. Some had dreams or saw their deceased relatives in the churches or graveyards they visited. Others experienced help that was so far from reasonable they knew they were being aided. The deceased wish to be found. They know where their records are located and they will help you to find them. Make your research a matter of prayer, step forward to begin, and you will receive great spiritual blessings. I can promise that because I have.

If each church member would add 100 names to familysearch, we would double the size of the tree. Think this is a lot? You could probably do it in 10 to 20 hours. We need you. And you need the spiritual blessings that come with the work. You need to experience the little miracles that make people devote some many hours to expanding the tree. You need to experience first hand the personal intervention of God in your life, something genealogists have been testifying about for generations. So if your tree seems done, expand the tree to the side. Pick a spouse of someone in your tree and construct their tree back a few generations using the hints.. You cannot do the temple work, but you can make a big difference in the research.
