Nice article that was thought provoking. We can all fall into the trap at times, of asking for things instead of being forever grateful for the life the Lord has given to us. The Lord God and Jesus Christ are always there for us and it’s up to us to communicate. Turning the Lord on and off like a faucet is not to our well being and very selfish on our parts. We have to consistently keep his spirit in our heart and souls & daily action not just in our prayers. This is how to truly stay close to our Heavenly Father.
A good article that really spoke to my feelings, though didn't fully change them. We believe Heavenly Father is of flesh and bones, which even glorified, I can't comprehend being able to know me, one of billions and billions of His children. And there are so many of His children - billions - that are in much greater need than me, despite my own concerns or needs that I struggle with. There are also so many of His children that are more faithful and spiritual and therefore closer to Him than I. We also believe that Heavenly Father is bound by the very laws He has created, including natural laws, which would seem to limit knowing every child at every second. So I struggle that He could really know me, it's just hard to comprehend.
I loved this article. Thanks for pulling together many different ideas and teaching us to be more mature in our understanding and expectation of God.
There are times your writings sustain me when I am flailing. This piece is one of those times. Thank you.
Wonderful article! Very thought-provoking. Ah, to know God--at least we all can strive.
Wonderful article that woke me up to some of my false God beliefs and limits of communication with our Heavenly FAther I put on myself.
Beautifully written and I needed those words this a.m. Thank you.
Don't we already know this from so many teachings we receive through our readings or Church meetings, yet need to be constantly reminded that the real God is much more than our imaginings! Thanks Maurine for doing that. I'll try to remember it better in the future.
