People will be gathering Halloween ideas until it’s time to put the costumes on.  Here are some that you can use that do not take a lot of work but will be great for a fun Halloween.

The following two costumes have been winners ever since they were created.  They are a great last-minute idea that will excite the children who wear them.

 bubble

Any little girl is transformed into a bubble bath with this quick and easy costume.  All you need is a pink sweatsuit with several pink balloons.  Just wear the sweatsuit and when you get to the party, blow up the balloons and pin them on.  Use a hair band to pin on the one for the head.

grapes

This same idea works well with a bunch of grapes.  Use a purple or green sweatsuit for the base and a green stocking cap for the stem.  You can also make a green felt leaf to be pinned on the green stocking cap.  Wear the sweatsuit to the party.  Then blow up the balloons and pin them on at the party.

hands

Give your drink a “punch” with floating hands.

If you are putting on a party this is a great idea.  Have floating hand in the punch bowl.  Use surgical gloves that do not have powder in them or have had the powder washed out.  Fill the gloves with water and freeze.  When you are ready for the party, either put the glove in the punch or remove the plastic and have the ice float in your punch bowl.

Here is a door decoration to heighten the holiday festivities.skeleton

A paper plate skeleton will be the hit in any doorway.  Cut each of the bones out in double and then staple the front and back together.  Then with a hole punch, punch a hole in each piece and tie it to the next piece with a string.

This ghosts and graveyard cake will be a spooky sensation.

ghosts

The ghost graveyard cake will be a hit at any party.  Bake the cake and then freeze it if you

have time.  (A cake is much easier to frost when it is frozen, because the cake is less likely to get in the frosting.)  Place Fig Newton bars on the cake and then frost with the names.  You can do that by putting white frosting into the corner of a freezer or regular Ziploc quart size bag.  Then with scissors cut a small hole so the you can squeeze the frosting out and write the names and year that you desire.
