In 1843, just a year before his own martyrdom, Joseph Smith called Orson Hyde and George J. Adams to serve missions in the “vast empire” of Russia, “to introduce the fullness of the gospel to the people” there, where “is attached some of the most important things concerning the advancement and building up of the kingdom of God in the last days, which cannot be explained at this time.”
Now, almost 170 years later, with dozens of missions, numerous branches, a temple in Kyiv, and newly organized stakes in Moscow and St. Petersburg, we stand as witnesses to the veracity of Joseph Smith’s prophetic utterance.
Listen to the testimony of Timur Kaderov, a Russian businessman and Mormon, and learn why he joined the church. His video is the first installment in a series of videos about Russian Mormons.
