Widtsoe Demolition Timelapse from HBLL Production on Vimeo.
With the dedication of a new Life Sciences building on the campus of Brigham Young University on April 9, it was time to tear down the old home of the College of Life Sciences. The nine-story John A. Widtsoe building was dedicated in 1968. Demolition began May 21. Above is a time-lapse video of the entire process of bringing down the old building.

Wow. I had a lot of classes in that building. Sorry to see it go.

Seems like a shame to tear down a serviceable building. Was it designed poorly, or is there a better use for the site?
