One issue facing the Church today is how we make the Gospel both accessible and relevant to youth. The cultural forces that shape their habits, opinions, and general attitude toward life are real and must be considered in how we share the core tenets of the Gospel.
Many young people learn from and are drawn to the graphic novel format. It is a powerful way to both entertain and educate.
Andrew Knaupp and Sal Velluto have created a graphic novel adaption of Joseph Smith’s First Vision that can reach young people in a new and profound way.
Andrew and Sal’s goal with this novel is to inspire the youth and help build their testimonies of Jesus Christ, the Restoration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the Prophet Joseph Smith.
In this graphic novel, they use details from all 4 accounts of the First Vision. It includes details not previously shown in current films and visuals on the subject.
Listen as Andrew and Sal share their experiences around creating the PILLAR OF LIGHT graphic novel and why they are so passionate about this project and its influence on the youth of the Church and in missionary work!

There's nothing like looking at a beautifully colored, dialogue boxes to help follow the flow of the story, pick it up in your hands over & over, read wherever you want, in whatever room, whatever position you're comfortable in, comic-graphic book. I've enjoyed mine for many months now, not only in front of a PC monitor.
