A new rendition of the old favorite hymn, “How Great Thou Art”, was recently released by the BYU Men’s Chorus in the form of a music video. In addition to the vocals and arrangement being beautifully blended, the video features richly symbolic choreography, which is an unusual and moving variation on what you might expect to see from the BYU Men’s Chorus.

The vocal unity and blend that makes good choir singing so dynamic is present, but the video also manages to convey an individuality to the spiritual journey of each singer and the effect is an impactful one.

It seems to illustrate that it is through a combination of our individual journeys as well as our dependence on one another as a community that we can find our way to back to Him of whose greatness we sing.
