The Church has announced that, to help accommodate the training of new full-time missionaries from Southeast Asia and other regions, a missionary training center (MTC) will open in Bangkok, Thailand, effective January 2024. This new facility will be in the annex of the complex surrounding Bangkok’s new temple, which opened in October.
The Church operates 10 missionary training centers around the world to provide initial instruction to new missionaries as they begin their assignments, including language training for those assigned to speak a language besides their native tongue.
