Singapore Temple Site
The Singapore Temple will be built on a one-acre site located at 233 Pasir Panjang Road in Singapore. Plans call for a two-story temple of approximately 18,000 square feet. A meetinghouse with an arrival center will be constructed adjacent to the temple.
The Singapore Temple was first announced during the April 2021 general conference by Church President Russell M. Nelson. Less than two years before, on a visit to Singapore in November 2019, President Nelson said he prayed for a day when the Saints there would have a temple of their own.
It will be the first temple constructed in Singapore, a sovereign island city-state in maritime Southeast Asia. This house of the Lord will serve members in Singapore and other countries in the region.
The Church has been present in Singapore since 1968. From the beginning, Latter-day Saint communities in Singapore have represented diverse ethnic and national backgrounds. Singapore has drawn this diverse community because it is a hub of southeast Asian commerce, education and culture.
