In the 30 weeks since starting to reopen its temples following total closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints now has 156 temples in limited operations, including 130 in the second phase of its four-phase plan.

The latest changes in temple status for Monday, Nov. 30, include a South America temple reopening in Phase 1 and two Central America temples being upgraded from Phase 1 to Phase 2.

Nine months after the Church closed all temples in late March because of the global pandemic, 98% of the 160 available temples have reopened — and 83% of the 156 reopened temples are already in Phase 2.

As announced on Newsroom, the Nov. 30 temple updates include the following temple reopening in Phase 1:

  • Bogotá Colombia Temple

And the following temple are upgrading to Phase 2:

  • Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple
  • San Salvador El Salvador Temple
