The #LightTheWorld initiative is back, with even more ways you can participate and transform this Christmas into a season of service.

This year we are invited to follow the example of Jesus Christ by ministering to others one by one—just like He did.

As we serve others and look for other normal and natural ways to share our beliefs, we can indeed make a difference in the lives of individuals and share the Christ-like light we all possess!

The website experience will temporarily take over the website for the holiday season.

The website is written and organized in such a way to be welcoming, informative, and inviting to any that visit. It was created especially for those who are not current members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

At the website, you can find information on all four pillars of the 2019 campaign:

Giving Machines

During the second year of #LightTheWorld (2017), only one Giving Machine was available (Salt Lake City).

It did so well that the third year (2018), five Giving Machines were opened (Salt Lake City, Manhattan, Manilla, London, and Gilbert). Over 2.3 million dollars were raised for global and local non-profits.

In the fourth year, that amount has doubled! Giving Machines are placed at these locations:

  • Manila, Philippines—TriNoma Mall
  • Las Vegas, Nevada—Downtown Summerlin
  • Laie, Oahu, Hawaii—Polynesian Cultural Center
  • Gilbert, Arizona—Water Tower Plaza
  • Salt Lake City, Utah—Joseph Smith Memorial Building
  • Orem, Utah—University Place Mall
  • Denver, Colorado—Writer Square
  • San Jose, California—Christmas in the Park
  • New York, New York—Manhattan New York Temple
  • London, England—Hyde Park Visitors’ Centre

Although there are more Giving Machines available now than ever before, you may want to help #LightTheWorld and donate to the #GivingMachines but don’t live near one of the 10 worldwide locations.

Well, you’re in luck! There is an Instagram account called @ProxyGivingMachinesClick here to follow them.

Follow the simple instructions you find there and you, indeed, can participate and donate a 🐑, 🐐, 🐓, or a myriad of other needed items (and get a FREE personalized video of your donation—done by proxy)!

The Christ Child short film

Invitation Sunday (December 22)

Christmas is the perfect time to invite friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors to attend worship services. The Sunday preceding Christmas, December 22, may be an especially poignant and rewarding opportunity to extend an invitation as the services will be short and Christ-centric.Looking for a place to worship?
